Apple & Mint Moscow Mule

Happy first day of Fall! My favorite season ever is finally here! Pumpkin everything, California (possibly, maybe?) deciding it will cool it with its 100 degree weather, the promise of the holiday season right around the corner. Ah. The best! Because I'm now Mrs. Sappy Keller, this season feels extra special since it's our first Fall as a married couple and that makes my heart so happy. I'm looking forward to so much this season, apple picking being at the very top of the list. There's nothing I love more than being out in an apple orchard with my honey bun, no cell phone service, and a trillion apple tress around us! I'm eager to get out to an orchard soon (you can check out last years trip right over here!), but because my middle name is "literally cannot wait for all things Fall any longer", I decided I needed an apple cocktail of some sort-stat! I've been on a serious mule kick lately, so chances are this wont be the last moscow mule suggestion you'll see on here.

Here's what you need:
-8 oz ginger beer
-3 oz vodka
-lime juice
-1 apple, sliced
-mint

Here's what you do:
Start by slicing your apple. In a jar, let the apple slices and mint soak in the vodka for about 3-4 hours. Once the mint and apples are nice and boozy, combine the ginger beer, vodka, and a squeeze of lime juice. Shake and serve over ice. Top with apple slices and fresh mint. Close your eyes, think about how great Fall is, repeat! :)

What are you most looking forward to this season? I'd love to hear all about it!
