20 Minute DIY: Mini Pumpkin Flower Vases

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a fun and relaxing weekend! I did a whole lot of lounging around and hanging out with my cute husband. I also started reading The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up and I'm jazzed up on this cleaning bug right now. We're moving in about a month and a half and my ultimate goal is to not own so much crap and just be done with it so it doesn't haunt us in our next place. My biggest struggle I suppose is getting rid of a bunch of craft stuff. It's been a real eye opener going through things and realizing they were only used once. Aside from the fact that my craft area is constantly a crazy mess, it makes me realize how much money I waste on things. SO, moving forward, I'm focusing on being more intentional with what I'm buying for my crafts and making sure they can be used in multiple projects. Phew, that was super long winded for me just wanting to tell you I'm getting rid of a ton of stuff. Ha! Okay, on to the point of this post...pumpkins. They are beautiful, they are everywhere, and I love them. Trader Joe's has been really teasing me with all their pumpkin products, so naturally when I saw these cute tiny pumpkins I knew I needed at least 10 (good job with this whole no more stuff thing, Jess). I made a handful of these mini pumpkin vases this weekend to give to friends and family and now I'm extra obsessed. Pumpkins and flowers-doesn't get any better! Side note: check out my nail color in the picture below. I'm the worst at painting my nails. I get it on every part of my skin and when I'm done, it kind of just looks like I dipped my entire hand in a nail polish bottle. That's how the pros do it, I hear. 

Little pumpkins killing me with their cuteness *heart eyes*. I'm really excited to have these as little place cards during Thanksgiving! They really only take about 5 minutes to assemble, and can honestly be done by even the least craftiest person in your life! 

Here's what you need:

-Mini pumpkins

-Knife

-Flowers of your choice

Here's what you do:

Carefully cut the top part of your little cutie baby pumpkin and pull out the gunk inside (exactly the way you would if you were carving a big pumpkin!). Cut your flowers and place into your pumpkins. The end. Literally-that's all. Easy! Gift to your loved ones and spread the pumpkin cheer! :)
