Viva Las Vegas!

Hey there, friends! If you follow me on Instagram, you probably saw that I was in Las Vegas this weekend. It was just the creative boost I needed to feel excited and refreshed about blogging again (serious color porn out there), so I'm excited to share a few photos with you all this week!

Andrew and I have been to Vegas a few times now, but this trip in particular felt extra shiny and fun, mostly because we went with a completely different group of people. I've been a sappy lady since we got married 3 months ago, so obviously I'm going to talk about all the feels. When Andrew and I were planning out the trip, we decided we really wanted to invite his brother and sister in law to join us. For one reason or another, we haven't really gone on trips or done too many outings with them in the time I've known Andrew, so it was nice to get that weekend with them. It's kind of a cool feeling to have gained a new family now that we're married. Like, I have a brother-in-law. It makes me feel old, but also super cool, and also super lucky! It's a guaranteed lifetime friendship, and that makes me appreciate them more-even though I've known them like 5 years and I'm acting like I just met them yesterday. Told you I'm a sappy pants. Anyway, Friday was spent walking around the strip with them, eating 100000 pounds of nachos, and having way too many margaritas.

I had never been to the M&M Store, but my sister-in-law is obsessed with it, and now I totally see why. It's 4 freaking floors of CHOCOLATE. Every floor had the coolest M&M merchandise, and the pink M&M's were obviously the best thing ever. I can't remember now why we didn't end up actually buying them, and I'm kind of kicking myself for that. Sigh. We also watched the water fountain show at the Bellagio, which I hadn't seen. It's basically the Vegas version of World of Color, which I am all about!

By the way, the Vegas strip is seriously deceiving. Everything looks so close to each other, but once you're actually walking around you're like "omg I'm gonna die". Either way, despite all the walking, I loved being able to take our time and just stroll and look at everything. I took about 30 photos of the Eiffel Tower (my favorite thing in Vegas). I really want to see the real thing someday!

Oh, also, I've decided I'm moving into the lobby of the Cosmopolitan. Look at these crystal curtains! So beautiful! Next time we're there I'm definitely stopping for a drink in their lounge area. A cocktail while you're surrounded by endless bling??? #fabulous

Saturday evening Andrew and I took another stroll around the strip to admire all the lights. While we were walking around the Flamingo hotel, we ran into this sweet older couple eyeing the mirror ball trophy from a past Dancing With the Stars winner. Andrew and I laughed at how that will be us in 40 years, and then we hugged because we realized that actually really will be us in 40 years, and that's a beautiful thing! We obviously geeked out with the couple about the most recent season of DWTS, and now I want to be friends with them and watch Monday night TV together. Also, as you can probably tell, I was so not joking about my excessive photo taking of the Eiffel Tower! I've got so much more I want to share, but for now I'll leave it at this!

Have you ever been to Las Vegas? What's your favorite thing to see or do there?

  5. Very fun. I love Vegas and haven't been in so long. I think the last time I was there was over 5 years ago. We drank, went to clubs and took advantage of a hook-up we had at Tao's pool party and had free drinks for a few hours. So fun, so much eye candy! Anyways, I live in southern CA so it's not that much of a drive but having a 3 year old and an 8 week old now keeps me home a lot more than I'd like. One day I'll be partying it up in Vegas again! -Misty

  6. Oh Vegas. I've been quite a few times in college and post-college. It's so fun! But very intense. My favorite thing in Vegas is probably the daytime pool parties! I've seen some great DJs there and it's a total blast! Hope you had fun :)

  8. Gorgeous place, I just went here with someone. The event space Chicago itself was beautiful and spacious, the seats were comfortable and wide. From where I was sitting at least, the views were great. I think the music really did a great job of filling up the space.
