Raise your hand if you can relate to this scenario: you find yourself with an hour of free time, and you decide to spend it crafting and creating. You head to your craft stash, and 10-15 minutes later you realize you've wasted a good chunk of your hour hunting down your supplies. Most annoying thing ever, right? It's really common for me to have two to three DIY projects going at one time, which means there are constantly two to three messes on the floor that I am digging through. I've realized that when my supplies and projects are out of control, I lose a lot of steam and tend to forget about them. A few months ago I decided I had to find a better way to keep all my supplies for each project in one spot, so I could quickly get them when I had random pockets of time to create (or random bursts of inspiration!). This is literally the easiest, most basic way to keep everything organized, but it's really helped me keep my DIY projects in order, and I hope it can help you too if it's something you're struggling with!
#groundbreaking. But really, shout out to the baskets who keep me sane! When I'm starting a new project, all I do is load my basket up with anything and everything I may need. Scissors, tape, glue, glitter, paint, etc etc. My favorite thing about this method of organizing projects is that it's portable. I can grab my basket and sit and watch TV while I craft, or place it next to my bed, or under my desk. As I go, I leave bits of my unfinished project right in the basket so I can pick up where I left off when I have time. This has really helped me save so much time, and it leaves me feeling more energized and creative! I mean, it's baskets full of craft supplies ;)
