DIY Flower Confetti

I came this close to starting off by saying that flower confetti trumps any/all other confetti, but that's an incredibly bold statement that I'm not really ready to make. Let's be real here, nothing trumps good old kick-you-in-the-crotch, spit-on-your-neck fantastic confetti! A million friendship points to you if you understood anything I just said. Anyway, flower confetti, it's pretty freaking cool and really easy to make, so you need some in your life asap!

Materials: scissors, tape, a few pieces of construction paper, flowers of your choice
Cost: >$10

Okay, so this is literally one of the easiest (and prettiest) DIY's ever. Start by taking your flowers off the stems. Hold your breath, close your eyes, and cut each pretty flower into tiny little pieces. Just kidding, you can breathe and keep your eyes open if you want.

Once you have a pretty pile of flower confetti, get to work on your little cones. These are obviously totally optional, but they're really fun and make great little gifts or party favors! I basically cut each piece of construction paper into a rectangle and shaped it into a cone, securing it with tape. Then I dropped in a handful of flower confetti and ta-da! Beauty! Spring and Summer bring some of the best flowers to us, so this is a great time to try this out for yourself!

Have you gotten crafty with any of natures beauties lately? I'd love to hear what you've been making!

    1. Thanks Trisha! I'm sure tissue paper would work just fine. It would also look pretty with some washi tape!
