DIY Rose Body Scrub

One of my favorite things about Valentine's Day is going to the grocery store a day or two after the actual holiday and picking up some roses. I LOVE roses, especially pink ones! They're beautiful and have the best aroma. Since I really enjoy saving as many doll hairs as possible, I booked it to the grocery store on Monday morning in search of my beloved roses. Treat yo self-on the cheap, am I right? When I picked up my roses I was a little bummed that they were already dying down (the price you pay for being cheap), but I quickly perked up when I realized I could use them in a scrub! Chances are you also have some roses from the holiday weekend lying around, so here's a quick DIY for you to try and give them one last use.

Here's what you need:
-Rose petals
-Clean glass jar
-4 to 5 drops of Rose essential oil
-1/2 cup coconut oil
-1/2 cup fine sea salt
-1/2 cup Himalayan salt

Here's what you do:
Massage your rose petals a bit before placing them into the jar. This really helps with getting that rosy scent out of them. Next, add all your ingredients to a bowl and mix thoroughly. The measurements I used above are not exact, I really just eyeballed it based on my current needs. I wanted this scrub to be really exfoliating, so I added more fine sea salt than coconut oil. If you're looking for something more moisturizing, add more coconut oil than anything else. Line the bottom of your jar with the rose petals and add the scrub on top. Let sit for about an hour and enjoy!
