Weekly Wishes #49

Hey there, happy Monday! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend! I celebrated my 24th birthday on Sunday, so I took the weekend off to decompress, watch a ton of Netflix, nap, and just get my life together a bit. It was so necessary, especially after the overwhelming few days I've been having. I'm feeling super refreshed and positive and I'm eager to get this week started!

Even though I spent most of my time binge watching Netflix, I did get out of the house for a bit to celebrate. Sunday morning Andrew surprised me with a colorful treat, some coffee, and the cutest card! We then went to church, stopped by Disneyland for a quick ice cream break, and then headed home to have lunch with my family. My sweet mom made my favorite meal ever. She's from a super small town in Mexico, and this exact meal is really only found there. It's time consuming to make, but it's just so freaking tasty and I get giant heart eyes when she takes the time to make that for my birthday!

Before I jump into my goals for the week, I thought I'd share this photo that Taylor, our wedding photographer sent me this morning. We really lagged with taking our engagement photos, but she was so quick to get them to us and I am just obsessed!!! Ah! I can't wait till our wedding day!

Last Weeks Wishes/To-Do List:
1. Workout 3-4 times. K, so I worked out ONCE. I went to this boot camp style workout and couldn't walk without a waddle for about 3 days. #fit
2. Drink water like it's my job
3. Work on my "master mind group" to-do list.
4. All the wedding things. We got our marriage license!! Weeee!!!! Still so much to do though!
5. Write/send thank you cards out to those who attended my bridal shower. Wrote them, just need to mail them out!

This Weeks Wishes/To-Do List:
1. Take care of myself. That's it. I won't go into the craziness that was my life last week, but I know that I just really need to be gentle with myself this week and take care of myself as best as possible! If you've been a hot mess these days, I really want to encourage you to take it easy this week. You are doing the best you can! *virtual hugs*

What are you up to this week? I'd love to hear all about it!

  2. Happy belated birthday! I hope you enjoyed it. Especially your mama's home cooking--it's the best kind! I only worked out once this week, too. But instead of getting down on myself, I decided to celebrate the fact that I actually did it! Your photos are beautiful and you are too! Have a great day.

    1. That's a great mentality to celebrate what you've done instead of dwelling on what you didn't do! Thanks for the reminder :)

  4. Planning my wedding was so stressful at times, but just focus on the end goal! Once you are married, nothing else will matter as much anymore, like your flowers or food-I don't remember what my cake looked like or even tasted like! I was just so happy to finally be married to the man of my dreams Lovely pictures! Happy birthday!
