2015 Goals

Hey there, blogland, and hello 2015!! I took some unplanned time off from blogging at the end of last month, and I have no excuse other than I needed a little break. Those are good for the soul from time to time. I'm so excited to be back and I'm more than ready to get this year going!

I'm going to be really honest with you, 2014 was not my favorite. I felt like the entire year just zoomed by and I was overwhelmed for about 90% of it. We got engaged in 2014, so that alone makes the year awesome in many ways, but besides that, I am so glad to see it go. There's something about 2015 that is so promising to me. Perhaps it's because we're getting married, or because I have a lot of big things planned for myself, or maybe it's just that I'm feeling more organized in general, but 2015 is going to rock. I can feel it!

I used to be friends with a very pessimistic person a long time ago. She absolutely hated every holiday, especially New Years. She was always so snarky about people making resolutions for whatever reason. Needless to say, we were total opposites. I love the beginning of a new year. Everyone just has an extra pep in their step and the possibilities feel endless! Obviously I know and understand that new goals can be made at any moment you choose, but the beginning of a new year just feels refreshing and like the perfect time to get things rolling! I think I owe it to myself to dream big and work as hard as possible to create a better life, and you do too! So, let's get to it!

Personal Goals for 2015
1. GET MARRIED!! Duh! :)
2. Be an inspiring and supportive wife to Andrew. I've really been studying the Bible and focusing on the role of a wife in a marriage. It's a tall order, but I hope our first year of marriage is full of peace, love, and understanding of one another.
3. Travel and experience new things. I've never been a fan of traveling, but for some reason last year I got hit with the travel bug and absolutely no time to go anywhere! Since our wedding is early in the year, I want to focus on traveling a bit come Summer time.
4. Be kind to myself. This is pretty general, but I really want to focus on myself this year. I was so harsh on my body and health last year. I put all my commitments and other people before my well being, and I see now that I need to care for myself in great detail. More sleep, better eating, relaxation time, creative time, etc. etc.
5. READ MORE. Guys, I started 6 new books last year and didn't finish a single one.
6. Read the entire Bible! This is a huge goal of mine. I've been following the She Reads Truth reading schedule and that's been incredibly helpful with staying on track!
7. Learn calligraphy and take a photo class.
8. Take more photos and find a way to document my memories more effectively. Often my photos end up getting lost in a sea of other files and I never look back, so I've been thinking of scrap booking or Project Life.

Blogging Goals for 2015
1. Launch secret project. That is all. Hehe.
2. Meet more bloggers IRL. I've said this a million times, but blogging friendships have been the best part about this entire experience for me. I hope I can connect with more awesome pals this year in real life!
3. Share more personal posts. I've looked back at some of my posts and realized that I don't share enough photos of things I actually do during the week or places I go throughout the month. I suppose it's because I think people might not be all that interested in my every day life, but I have to get over that and do what I want...because I run this place and I'm the boss.
4. Record a few videos. This one is scary for me because I hate being in front of cameras, but I also think it'll be the most fun to challenge myself with!

What are some of your goals for 2015? I'd love to hear them! I am so excited to get this year started and share as much as possible with you all. Thanks so much for being a part of this little corner of the internet! Cheers to you kicking ass in 2015!
