Holiday White Russians

White Russians are my go-to drink because they're basically iced coffee with alcohol and iced coffee (and alcohol) are favorites of mine! These 3 have a fun twist to them and are perfect for a holiday party or a small gathering with friends. They're all super simple to make but full of flavor!

My favorite thing about these cocktails is their flavored rims. This was pretty simple to do, I just added some ginger snaps, candy canes, and cocoa powder into their own sandwich bags and banged them a bit with a cup. I like to keep things fancy around here. To line the rims I dipped each glass into a little bit of honey and then dipped that into either the ginger snaps, candy canes, or cocoa powder.

This one is one of my favorites because it's super rich in flavor, and the spicy taste it has to it is awesome. To make your own cinnamon and ginger snap White Russian, you will need:
-2 oz of vodka
-1 oz of Kahlua (I used gingerbread Kahlua for this one, but regular works too)
-A splash of heavy cream
-crushed ginger snaps for the rim
-A dash of cinnamon
-Cinnamon whisk or stick
-Ice

I started off by mixing the vodka, Kahlua and cream. I think used a cinnamon whisk which I found at Trader Joe's for about $2 and used that to mix my drink further. If you aren't using gingerbread Kahlua, you'll want to add a little splash of gingerbread syrup at this point. Line your rim, and serve over ice.

I thought this one might be a little gross when I first thought about making it, but it actually turned out to be fantastic! This is perfect for the chocolate lovers in your life. To make this drink you will need:
-2 oz of vodka
-1 oz of Kahlua
-A splash of mint chocolate chip coconut milk
-Chocolate chips (optional)
-Cocoa powder
-Ice

I combined all my liquids, and before pouring, I snuck a tiny handful of chocolate chips at the bottom of my cup (tehehe). I lined my rim with cocoa powder, poured the mixture over ice, and tada! Simple as that.

This one just yells Christmas, and I love that! It's super festive and has the perfect hint of peppermint that isn't incredibly overpowering. To make your own peppermint White Russian you will need...
-2 oz of vodka
-1 oz of Kahlua
-.5 oz of peppermint schnapps
-A splash of heavy cream
-Candy canes to garnish
-Ice

Just like the other two, combine all your liquids and mix well. Line your rim with your crushed peppermint and mix well.

Happy (and safe!) sipping to you! Enjoy!!
What's your go to holiday drink? Any festive combos I should try?

  5. Ahaha I used to buy White Russian's at the bar. Then... well, I got sick off them. They used to be a go-to drink of mine when I was younger. Now I'm all about the vodka cran's.

I KNOW I would love the mint chocolate chip white russian. I just e-mailed my best friend your blog post too, lol.
