Southern California always misses the memo come Fall and Winter. It's consistently been warmer than I'd like it to be, so sweaters and warm drinks haven't permanently made their way into my daily routine quite yet. As much as I crave some real Fall weather, I'm eternally thankful to live somewhere where that Fall feeling is only a quick drive from home. Andrew and I have been apple picking together every year since we first met. We have a ton of traditions together, but this one in particular is something that I most look forward to.
Riley's Apple Farm is our go to place for apple picking. It's the perfect mix of all things Fall (pumpkin patch, cider making, berry picking) with the gentle reminder that you are in fact still in Souther California (giant flower field, heat, etc). If you're in SoCal, you must check this place out! It's beautiful, with a ton of space and no cell phone service. Perfect if you need a few hours to just be. Riley's Apple Farm does a fantastic job at directing you to different spots for picking based on the type of apples you want. I'm so excited to make something with what we picked, apple empanadas anyone??
Have you been apple picking this Fall yet? What's an activity that brings you happiness during this season?
