Brown Sugar & Pumpkin Coffee Body Scrub DIY

This weekend I had a slight freak out when I was looking through my traffic sources and noticed a crazy spike in views on these pumpkin spice latte ice cubes. Turns out, Women's Health Magazine's site found them somehow and shared them in this post. AH!!!! I was SO excited, because DUH! I was immediately filled with the inspiration bug and I decided I had to do more pumpkin things because I really haven't given them enough of a spotlight on here. Today I bring you my current beauty favorite, a brown sugar and pumpkin coffee body scrub. It smells incredible, leaves my skin super soft and moisturized, and it's so inexpensive to make!

To make your own brown sugar & pumpkin coffee body scrub you will need:
-1/2 cup of ground pumpkin coffee (my favorite is the bag shown below. I buy it every year at Marshall's for $4.99 and it's delicious!)
-1/4 cup of brown sugar
-1/4 cup of sea salt
-1/4 cup of coconut oil
-jar

Start off by brewing yourself a nice cup of coffee. Light a candle, enjoy all the great things about Fall. Be real happy.

Next, combine your coffee grounds, salt and brown sugar in a bowl. Slowly stir in your coconut oil until everything is well mixed.

Pour it in a jar and enjoy it next time you're in the shower. I just use my hand to rub it in, focusing on my legs and any dry patches. Ta-da! All things pumpkin, all of the time!

Have you made a body scrub at home before? What are some of your favorite ingredients to use?

  9. I just wish I liked pumpkin... I know i'm not eating it, but I still don't think I would like the way that it would make my skin smell. I've heard that coffee grounds scrubs are really good for your skin. -Holly

  10. Wow, so great you got featured! Over here in Belgium we're not that pumpkin minded, it must be an American thing. We never get any further than pumpkin soup or pumpkin cake, but I do love cooking with pumpkin. Maybe I have to try it for something else :-)

  15. I love body scrubs so much and love that this is DIY but I can't stand the smell or taste of coffee so this wouldn't be my cup of tea. Great photos by the way.
