Weekly Wishes #39

Oh hi there! Long time no see, huh?
It's been 100 million days since my last post, woops. Blogging is weird, and I'm mostly trying to figure out if it's for me. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say that as a blogger, but it's true. Just a crazy thing, the internet. Anyway, this week is the official start of Fall (even though it actually started like a month ago in my head...but thanks for catching up, world), so I'm going to make it an awesome week!

This Weeks Wishes/To-Do List:
1. Get a blog plan in place. I have no idea what I really want to do with this blog, if we're being honest. Do I want a nice, cohesive, professional brand that will allow me to work with more companies in the future? Do I even want to make money off this thing? Maybe I just want this to be like a daily diary, but blogland says no one actually cares what you did this weekend...sooooo...??? I've decided to stop reading blogs about blogging for now while I figure things out (too much info, too much commitment). Tips, anyone?
2. Go to the gym. I got a gym pass two weeks ago and I have yet to use it. I fail.
3. Take some time to myself. I feel like I'm giving off some weird vibes about myself right now. I promise I'm not a total nut. I just need to be a hermit for a while. Overstimulation of people and activities lately. I really need to find that balance again.
4. Do something kind for someone else. Just anything, for anyone.

What are your goals this week?? What are some of your tips for when you start to feel overwhelmed with blogging, and life in general?

  3. Good luck with your goals! I get that reading so much about blogging can make it hard to absorb everything - especially when some posts have such different views about things! I can't wait to get back to the gym after this baby - due today!! Good luck with your goals dear!

  5. I love diary-type of blogs. Especially if someone has similar interests to mine. Its kind of interesting to see how other people live in the day-to-day. :)

  9. I'm sure you'll figure out your passions and where you want to go! I think everyone goes through a blogging funk now and then!

  10. I need to get a plan together too! I have a ton of bloggie things to do and need to map out exactly how I am going to do them!

  11. For the longest time (I'm talking YEARS) I had no plans for my blog. I took things in stride and worked with companies I knew I liked/would buy products from regardless. I kept it as a daily diary so to speak. But recently I've been taking things more serious (because basically this is my job right now - I don't have a full time job as I'm now living in the USA - I'm from Canada, here with my husband in California right now). So I suppose it's all about in what you want to do with it, like you already said.

  12. Blogging can be so tricky sometimes. I find that it works best when I write posts on the weekend and schedule them for the coming week. It's so much easier than writing one the night before.

  13. I was the same way about my blog (still am sometimes), but my boyfriend kept encouraging me to do whatever I felt and not to worry about the "right" and "wrong" of it. You just have to carve your own niche and don't worry too much about the "do's" and "don'ts". My goal this week is to write at least 2 more posts :)

  21. Go to the gym/work out is ALWAYS on my list! But I'm actually following through this week!

  22. Blogging is all about you and what you like. There are plenty of people interested in weekend recaps, and if that's what you enjoy sharing then by all means do it! Blogs about blogging are a little counterintuitive most of the time anyways... find what works for you! :)

  23. I think putting together a pinterest board to inspire you, or finding blogs that you really like is a good start. You can do it on an ipad while walking on the treadmill and knock out a few of those together. :P

  24. Having a blog plan helps a lot! My goals for this week include finishing a blog post that's due Friday, get ready for my new quarter at school that starts on Thursday, and spent some time with my nephew. :)

  25. I'm glad I'm not the only one that has a gym membership and hasn't used it. ;) And having a blog plan definitely helps... heck, I don't' even know if I have one!

    ReplyDelete
  26. I think I should try to take some time for myself too. And actually pamper myself a bit. I haven't done that in years!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Getting a blog plan in is definitely a step in the right direction! Can't wait to see!

  28. A blog plan -- what a great idea. I would love to do one as well and really need to get something together very soon.

  29. oh haii! I know blogging is for you, but not in the "mainstream view of blogging" which is cool, because that's how it is for me too. We just gotta do our own thing maaaan. You're also wedding planning, remember? That takes a lot of time and creative juices. Also, I've been such a hermit so we're opposites right now.

  30. Okay first of all, I'm your newest follower on bloglovin because apparently we're the same person... I can relate to literally every. single. thing. you wrote about. And I think you should continue blogging for sure- but just figure out what it is you love to write about. I'll be reading from now on. :)

  32. Just when I think I have a blog plan, or any kind of plan in place for that matter, I break my tailbone. Such is life.
