Thank you to DropCam for inspiring today's conversation!
Hi ladies, Duke here. Mom's been taking a break from blogging but I figured today was the perfect day for me to hop on here and let you all tell me how cute I am. In case you missed the memo, today is National Dog Day aka the greatest day that was ever made! Since today is all about me and my furry comrades, I thought I'd take you behind the scenes of my modeling gig and show you a few of my signature poses. Oh, you didn't know I modeled? My momager has been keeping way too many secrets from you all.
I like to start off by staring longingly into the camera...
I do a little smizing, thanks to Tyra Banks for teaching me the importance of that...
Then I lay down and pretend I'm a cat or something...
I do a little hair flip ala Beyonce...
Stare off into the distance in deep thought...
And then obviously I give a little wink for the ladies...
Being America's Next Top Pupmodel is a tad exhausting, but someone's gotta do it. You know what grinds my gears though? People walking in front of my home while I'm in the middle of my photo shoots. I cannot stand anyone walking by. Naturally I've got to protect my humans from all evil, so I give them my toughest bark till I scare them off. Works every time. Mom doesn't really appreciate my constant barking, but I do it anyway because I've got to let people know I mean business. According to Dropcam's #PUPtector security styles, that makes me The Barking Buzzer. I bark at anything and everything. Always. Being a barking buzzer is a full time job for me, as I'm sure it is for many of your pups as well. Lucky for us, Dropcam's easy to use home-security-system can help us out with keeping guard of our home! They can be set up in any room and accessed by my humans from work simply by checking their phones. I dare an intruder to come in with one of those staring straight at them! These fancy little gadgets are perfect for protecting my humans while I'm busy modeling or napping. Phew!
#exhausted
What kind of #PUPtector is your dog? I'd love to know how many Barking Buzzer's are out there!
Thanks for hanging out with me today! Make sure you give your pup ALL THE TREATS today!
OMG I am dying over this post! So cute!!! I wish I knew about national dog day and I would have done a post like this :( Your pup is adorable! My little guy always lays right in front of the door so that he can guard it :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Lindsay! Duke appreciates your sweet comments ;)
DeleteLately my dog is becoming "the Barking Buzzer." Wish there was a way to counter this! She barks at the littlest things these days. However, she does sound mean and ferocious so she is like our bouncer as well :-)

Haha, I think most dogs go through serious barking buzzer phases! Duke really only barks at everything when we're at home, but if we take him out he is too afraid to bark at anything!
DeleteBut Sir Dukeford when are you going to learn that you don't have to protect your parents from meeeeeee? I love this! I think that Crash is a mixture between the BarkingBuzzer, Social Butterfly and the Bouncer. He's gotta approve you
ReplyDeleteHaha, hopefully Duke starts to recognize you soon so he doesn't bark like crazy!
DeleteLittle Lilo is THREE of these. She spends most of her day as the Couch Potato, but makes a quick switch to Barking Buzzer whenever she hears anything.. And when we take her outside, there's always a slight chance she'll be the Fence Hopper and run around the neighborhood like a crazy.. WHICH I HATE obviously because if she gets hurt I will probably just never stop crying. DUKE IS SO CUTE OMGRN. America's Next Top Pupmodel FOR SURE. Love this. Wish I could be with my pup for National Dog Day :( but at least I have Duke!
ReplyDeleteAw, I'm sure Lilo missed you so much on National Dog Day! Duke sends you all the licks and snugs!
DeleteYou have the cutest dog! I can't wait until my boyfriend and I finally have a place where we're allowed a dog. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! And, yes, dogs are such a good thing to have around! Duke has brought my fiance and I even closer! Hopefully you guys get a pup soon too!
DeleteWhat a cute dog! I love the positions dogs lay in and how expressive their eyebrows are.
ReplyDeleteOh me too! Duke loves staring out the window for hours on end. He always looks like he's in serious deep thought!
DeleteWe have a cat named Puppy lol this is such a cute post!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, how funny! My family dog is named Kitty! I named him when I was 12 haha. He's more my dads dog but it sounds hilarious hearing a grown man call his dog Kitty!
Deletethis is such a cute post!! he's such a ham! :) i cannot get my cats to pose for the life of me.. i have to take a million photos just to get one decent one! and my dog that now lives with my parents is a barking buzzer.
ReplyDeleteOh, I showed only a handful of photos haha. I basically end up with about 200 photos of Duke and only a few look good! Animals, it's their show not ours hahaha.
DeleteOh my I can't even take the pics, there is something about puppy paws that do me in every time!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jamie! I love puppy paws too! And puppy noses!
DeleteOh, mine is the barking buzzer for sure! Happy National Dog day!!
ReplyDeleteHooray to our barking buzzers!
DeleteWhat a ham you are, sweet pup! I can't handle the cuteness! :)

ReplyDeleteOh wow! You're totally covered!
DeleteDuke is just the cutest!! Adorable post :)
ReplyDeleteThank you!!
DeleteI have two dogs. One is a social butterfly and the other is a couch potato! Love seeing photos of your pup!
ReplyDeleteAh, total opposites! How fun!
DeleteMy little girl is a barking buzzer for sure. Yap yap yap!!
ReplyDeleteHaha this is so cute! Our dogs do a half-hearted bark unless the person goes up the drive at over 30 miles an hour. Then they'll run out in front of the car to let them know it's not safe to do so. Mad pups!
ReplyDeleteKatie <3
Haha! Your pup is adorable! Mine is a mix between the bouncer and social butterfly. He has become WAY more protective since my daughter was born (she's 3 now). It's amazing how smart dogs are.

ReplyDeleteThanks Alyssa! Duke appreciates the smize compliment ;)
