Weekly Wishes #32

Hey there, welcome back!
I hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend! I spent mine relaxing with my family, resting as much as possible, snugging Duke, grocery shopping and blogging. Pure bliss! Mondays after a long weekend are totally my favorite. I'm rejuvenated and so ready to take on a new week. Anyone else feel the same?

Before I jump into my goals for the week, I thought I'd share a few photos of my supermodel son. He was a patriotic little pup on the 4th and I just cannot get enough of him! Please excuse his eye boogies!

Alright lady, enough.
My holiday was spent with my awesome nieces and nephews. I can't get enough of them either! We spent the day running around, playing crazy games, eating hotdogs, and overall just enjoying each others company. Such cuties they are!

I took a pretty nasty fall over the weekend (I slipped on apple juice that was on the floor). I have a very low pain tolerance because my medicine just makes me so weak. I rarely hug people because even that bruises me sometimes, sooooo a crazy fall=crazy disaster. I ended up with a fever because the pain was just that unbearable for me. Ugh. I now have a million bruises all over my back and legs. Double ugh. Worst part? My phone went flying and the entire front screen is completely smashed. I can barely see anything, so if you receive a wacky text from me or I misspell something on Instagram, you know why. It's sitting in a zip-lock bag so I don't cut my fingers on the glass. I only feel slightly ridiculous answering phone calls with a bag up against my ear. I am feeling much better now, a little sore and definitely bruised, but infinitely better!

Anyway, that was my weekend! Now it's Monday and I am super ready to get this show on the road!

This Weeks Wishes/To-Do List:
1. Get rid of 10 things. I saw Steph write about how she wants to get rid of 100 things this month and it really got me thinking about how much stuff I could potentially get rid of. I'm tired of having way too much crap surrounding me. Though I can't commit to decluttering 100 things throughout the month, I can totally do 10 this week. Baby steps!
2. Get through week 1 of the 22 Day Vegan Challenge. My body needs a serious reset so I'm really excited to do this! A lot of the recipes look so great and totally doable.
3. Go on a hike. I haven't gone on one in forever.
4. Give myself a bedtime. This is such a struggle for me, but I really need to get more sleep/sleep earlier. I'm thinking 11pm is a good bedtime..mostly because all the good TV shows end around that time. Priorities, people.

What are your goals for the week?

  5. I think attempting to go vegan in the summer would be hard because of all the back yard barbecues. I'm struggling with trying to go with more vegetarian options! I wish you luck!

  6. Your dog is freaking adorable! Your nieces and nephews are adorable! There is so much cute in this one post.

I love the idea of going vegan during the summer and of getting rid of ten things. What great goals! How do you stay balanced and get all your nutrition with the vegan recipes? (That's always where I struggle and what keeps me from even going vegetarian.I'm afraid of not getting what I need.)

It feels so good to get rid of things, too! I'm working on a huge clear out/clean out right now, too. You'd be surprised: once you get started on that ten, a lot might follow! :)

  29. you inspired me and i inspired you… this is beautiful. :) you'd be surprised at how easily you can get rid of stuff. i usually start with one of the thousands of reusable totes i've collected and then throughout my days, i toss things in it that i really don't need/want/use anymore. doesn't have to be big stuff, could be little frames or jars. i believe in you!!! :)

    also. vegan challenge…!!??
