Weekly Wishes #16

Happy Monday!
It's going to be a really fabulous week, because I've decided it's going to be a really fabulous week!
Join me in being fabulous, will you??

It's time to set some goals for the week, but first, here are some rambly thoughts about my weekend...

-I had this really delicious pizza on Saturday. I went to Pieology, which is the Chipotle of pizza places. You pick your crust, sauces and toppings, and they make it for you on the spot. If you're interested in knowing what I had, and you should be, my pizza had herb butter, mozerella AND ricotta cheese, chicken, artichoke, mushrooms, tomatoes, and pesto. Best part? All the pizzas are $7 regardless of what you order. Genius!
-I went to Target last night and the lady paying in front of me was an extreme coupon-er. I've never actually seen this in real life, but she bought a TON of stuff. Her total was a little over $60, and out of nowhere she pulled out a wad of coupons. After the cashier scanned all of them, her total was $1.78. HOW??? HOW???? I just don't get it. I want to know all the coupon secrets.
-I got in my car Sunday morning and I found a huge spider resting comfortably on one of my mirrors. I'm kind of a drama queen sometimes, but I kid you not, this spider was about the size of a quarter. It was also black and white like a zebra. I've never seen anything like it. Anyway, it was ridiculously hot yesterday, but I refused to open the window in fear of the spider crawling into my car and attacking me. It clung on for about half my drive. A drive I don't remember because I was basically watching the spider the entire time. Woops.

Also, turns out it's Saint Patrick's Day? I've never once actually celebrated this holiday. Not since I was a kid and I was forced to wear green so my classmates wouldn't pinch the crap out of me. There was this particular kid, Trevor, who just went to town with the pinching. He was bad news...but Trevor is kind of a bad news name, you know? Fast forward to adult life, Andy just pinched me. He is bad news.

Anyway, it's Monday, which means I'm linking up with Melyssa of course!

Last Weeks Wishes:
1. Simplify my diet. The same 3-4 meals were in rotation and I super don't mind that at all! More on this at a later time.
2. Read my bible for 10 minutes a day. Let's try again.
3. Get my "wedding vision" in order. Every time I think about our wedding, I want to crawl into bed and take a long nap.
4. Plan my posts for the following week, before the weekend. I really liked this, must be more on top of doing this on the regular!
5. Finish Breaking Bad. AH! FINALLY! The finale, oh myyyy gaahhhhh. So good!!
6. Laundry. Maybe this week. Maybe.

This Weeks Wishes/To-Do List:
1. Celebrate Andy all week. It's his birthday on Sunday!
2. Find a way to ease my boob pain. Sorry, I couldn't think of a lady like way to say this. I've been under an immense amount of pain, even breathing hurts sometimes. There are a few things I can do, I just actually have to do them. Except...who has the patience to lay for 45 minutes a day with an ice pack and a medicated lotion every single day?? Not me.
3. Strive to survive. That was cheesy...but really. My uncle is visiting from out of the country for the entire week and we're doing a ton of touristy things with him. Tuesday we'll be spending an entire day with him in LA since he's never been. I have zero energy most of the time, and just the thought of going to LA for hours on end makes me want to cry. I talked to my doctor about it, and he told me some of my medicine actually affects my mood a lot more than I think. We worked out a way for me to figure out if I'm actually tired, or just feeling cranky because of my medicine. He also coached me through some ways I can work through my exhaustion. I've never understood mind over matter, but now it's actually something I'm going to be actively working on. I do really hope I can teach myself to feel less drained, not just for the sake of this week, but for my own sanity. It's exhausting being exhausted all the time.
4. Take my first Skillshare class. I just signed up to be a member and I'm so excited! Being a member is actually a pretty good deal. A lot of the classes I had already been thinking about taking are on the member list, which I can take for "free" except not really because membership is $10 a month. It's not much considering each class is about $25 and there are easily 5-6 classes I've been wanting to take. The first class I've signed up for is "Become a Better Blogger: Content Planning" wohoo!
5. Practice using my camera. I bought a DSLR a few weeks ago...I've been watching a few tutorials to teach myself how to take shots in anything BUT auto. I figure this week is the best week to practice since it's Andy's birthday week AND we have a special guest which means we'll be doing a ton of fun things all week!

What are your goals for the week? Leave me a link to your post, I'd like to be more proactive about cheering other people on, because it's fun of course!

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a great Monday!!

  2. First of all, your pizza looks fantastic! There's a Pieology near where I live and I haven't gone there yet. But 7 bucks for pizza? HECK YES. I must make a trip there soon. Also, whoa dude! How did you hurt yourself? Or was the pain random? Aching boobs are never fun. Hope you feel better. Other than that, this sounds like an exceptionally active week for you! How fun! :)

    1. OOOHHH you MUST try Pieology! It's delicious!! Also, I didn't actually physically hurt my boob. I've got precancerous cells in my right breast, and it aches a ton. You know, it's casual... :) but really, that's actually why they hurt, but I'm okay and it sounds scarier and worse than it actually is! It's been a great few days so far and I'm working through it! Thanks so much for your support Mary :)

  3. Holy pizza! Pieology sounds freaking genius and I can't get over it. I love your goals for this week. My medication effects my mood too - making me tired and sluggish and sometimes totally blank and unfeeling (worst discovery ever as art major, one time I couldn't come up with a creative project idea for weeks and it was so strange and just not me). You can do this though! Happy early birthday to Andy! My birthday is on Saturday and I've extra sensitive to birthday vibes all around. Also, I am SUCH a drama queen/scaredy cat when it comes to spiders. You couldn't have paid me enough money to open that window! Wishing you the best of weeks!

  5. Seems like we had the same idea with our pictures this week :-) don't you just love those Spring blooms and blue skies :-) we've been lucky over here with an early Spring and it's just a moodlifter :-)

Hooray for Andy's birthday! I'm having a celebratory week for the little one too. Each day she asks me if it's her birthday yet and I answer yes, it's an entire week this year. She loves it!

And you always post the most amazing pics of food! That pizza seems so yummy and so cheap, I need to come over for a visit I think LOL

    1. They have a free 7 day trial you can start with, but the paid membership in my opinion is really worth it. You can cancel whenever, and a ton of their classes are included in the price, AND you get 20% off any classes that aren't included. Let me know if you end up taking anything!

  7. I am blog stalking you in honor of our secret meeting today and I don't know how I missed your jab about Trevor's but I completely agree, especially since my crazy ex was a Trevor.
