Happy Wednesday!
I'm not going to bore you with a long intro, because cocktails don't need intros, am I right??
I decided to create 3 cocktails for this, because I'm just such an overachiever.
In case you're wondering, I made all of these around 10am, and I did drink all of them.
I was doing research for my blog, duh.

Not just that, but 2 of these cocktails are based on 2 of our favorite Disney characters. We're having a Disney themed wedding, and we thought it would be fun to have 2 signature drinks. So really, I was doing research for my blog AND my wedding!

1. The Why Does Her Hair GLOW??? cocktail
Song to listen to while sipping on this cocktail: I See the Light

I know what you're thinking, why is this drink all gross looking?? The answer is: I don't know. It seemed like a good idea in my head, but alas, it didn't come out like I'd envisioned it. If you read our engagement story, you know that the movie Tangled holds a big place in our heart. I wanted to do a purple syrup on the bottom with a light yellow on top, for Rapunzel's dress and hair. Once all the colors came together, it just looked like muck water (I don't actually know what that is, it just seemed like the appropriate way to describe it)...I made a blueberry syrup out of kool-aid, sugar and water. I wish it had come out lighter. I'm going to try it again-because I'm dedicated, remember? But this time I'll use less of the kool-aid powder till I get the light purple color I want. The cocktail itself tasted great by the way, and really that's all that matters for now. I'd love for this to be one of our signature drinks at our wedding since Tangled will play a big role on our big day, but I've got plenty of time to work on the color of the drink. To make your own magic, glowy potion...
Wet the rim of your glass with water and dip in yellow sprinkles (for that glowy affect), add a bit of syrup to the bottom, add vodka and 1/2 cup of iced lemonade. To make the purple syrup-in a saucepan over medium heat, combine 1/2 cup of sugar, 1/2 cup of water, and a teaspoon of purple kool-aid.
2. The Burly & Brawny cocktail
Song to listen to while sipping this cocktail: Gaston

Andy likes to pretend he's Gaston, and I'm not going to argue with his manliness. Gaston is actually one of my favorite villains, so a manly drink based on him seemed appropriate. Since Andy's favorite drink is a whiskey sour, I started with that as a base and added a splash of black cherry soda. This drink was my favorite of the 3 I made, and it will most definitely make an appearance on our wedding day! To make your own burly and brawny drink, you'll need...
.75 oz Fresh lemon juice, .75 oz simple syrup (one part water, one part sugar), 1.5 oz bourbon, splash of black cherry soda. YUM!
3. The What Am I Gonna Do With My Life Now?? cocktail
Song to listen to while sipping on this cocktail: Badfinger-Baby Blue
Whatever amount of vodka you desire (I recommend a lot) , 1/2 cup of Sprite, crushed up meth aka jolly ranchers, and a splash of blue syrup (made the same way as the syrup from the first drink).
Which one of these drinks will YOU try??
Happy sipping!
