Weekly Wishes #12

It's Monday again!!!
I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's weekend full of hugs, kisses, love, and chocolate!
Grab yourself a cup of coffee, let's enjoy Monday together!

Side note: how fantastic was that Kardashian episode last night?!? I actually burst into tears when Kanye got on one knee, and I don't even care for him. Or her really. Seriously though, it was like a movie! Andy's first remark was that our wedding will be bigger and better than theirs. Soooo Kanye & Kim vs Andy & Jess. You pick.

we're all bff's IRL...
Okay, now back to it being Monday...

This morning I woke up LATE. I was running around like a crazy person getting my work stuff together, writing, feeding Duke, trying to down a million cups of coffee, you get the point. Not a good start to the day. I was pulling out a cake from the fridge for a post I'm doing tomorrow, and it fell on the floor into million pieces...that was, great. Especially since I photographed it before that happened. Oh? Wait. I didn't. So I'm standing in the kitchen crying, and I realized I was late for work and my cake was a lost cause. I also realized today's post wasn't finished and I started crying even louder. I finally pulled myself away from my poor, poor cake, and I headed out the door. As I was walking out, I dropped my phone and the back part of it completely shattered. I. LOST. IT. I literally drove to work crying like someone had just died. Anyway, Andy calmed me down via text, and then we had this conversation...

Sigh.
I love him.
I'm now writing the rest of this on the blogger app by the way. Thank you technology!

Before I jump into setting goals for the week, let's recap last weeks wishes...

1. Do laundry.
2. Study.
3. Clean my room.
4. Go on a hike.
5. Go on a date with Andy.
6. Work on a little craft I'm putting together to ask my girlfriends to be my bridesmaids.
7. Wear sunscreen every day.
8. Get back to juicing.
9. Watch more episodes of Breaking Bad.
10. Get to bed earlier.

I'm not going to brag or anything buuuuttt, I kind of rocked my week! Hooray! Minus my lack of Breaking Bad watching of course.

This Weeks Wishes/To Do List:
1. Continue Spring cleaning my room. I've been hit with the cleaning bug, and that doesn't happen often (read: never) so I need to take full advantage of this feeling while it lasts!
2. Go on a hike. Maybe my new favorite thing.
3. Write out our wedding guest list. Turns out this is more difficult than I thought it would be.
4. Continue working on habits I'd like to stick (wearing sunscreen, going to bed early, juicing, etc.) being disciplined is kind of hard.
5. Try something new this week. ANYTHING new!

  1. Your poor cake! I know that feeling, I did something similar with a whole tray of cupcakes I had made for my students this past year. Andy's replies were so sweet. Good luck on your goals this week. I wish I lived in an area I could hike more, I miss it so much!

    1. I think I'd be more upset if I actually had to take my cake somewhere to feed people! Hopefully your guys' weather clears up soon! Spring is coming!!! Have a fantastic week!

  2. That is the cutest text message ever! Good luck with your wishes this week. Looks like you kicked ass with last weeks ;) Discipline is definitely a hard one. I've got some habits I've been working on too - drinking more water, juicing and sticking to my own schedule. It's so easy to make the lists and so hard to stick to it.

    1. Most definitely! I'd say the cry I had this morning was good enough to last a few days!

  5. I can feel you! It really sucks when a bad thing happens after another, especially a out the blog post. I think as bloggers one of our priorities in life is our blog and when everything that's been carefully planned shattered into pieces like that I know how irritating that is... But at least you rocked your last week's goals and have a wonderful man beside you! Gotta find that silver lining ;) Good luck on this week's goals!
