Weekly Wishes #10: February Goals

Happy February!
I hope you all had a wonderful, relaxing weekend.
I cannot believe January has come and gone and it's already February!
It's the month of loooooveeee and I am excited for everything this month holds!
Let's jump into my monthly goals...

1. Throw a fabulous Blogger Brunch with my equally fabulous blogger pals. Have you purchased your ticket yet? Do it! It's going to be a blast!
2. Send 2 care packages to any random soldiers. I don't personally know anyone in the army, but I've been thinking about our brave men and women out there...for no particular reason really...and I feel like sending some love their way.
3. Bake 4 gluten free desserts (1 a week).
4. Take a cake decorating class.
5. Find new coffee shops in my neighborhood. I love me a vanilla latte from Starbucks on my way to work, but I've become quite bothered by the fact that I've forgotten to savor my coffee time. Starbucks has gotten me used to getting in and getting out in a rush instead of slowing down and enjoying the atmosphere of a coffee shop. Yes, I feel that strongly about my coffee time.
6. Give my little ol' blog a facelift.
7. Let things go. I'm kind of a people pleaser and when I accidentally insult or hurt people in anyway, I hold on to it regardless of how much time has passed. We're all human and we all have slip ups. This month I really want to practice the art of letting things be and letting things go. It does me no good to hold on to things and I need to learn to forgive myself.
8. Go on many fun dates with Andy-and blog about them of course!
9. Workout 2-3 times a week.
10. Catch up on Project Life. I did week 1 and it was game over. Shame on me. I've been taking a ton of pictures though so it's time to print them. Are any of you working on a project of your own?

Have a great Monday!

  1. Fate makes us meet again LOL You're the runner up to my post, so here I am (again), otherwise I would come say hi too :-)

Wow, so many monthly goals, I've settled on only one and that will already be hard to get too. With you on the letting go page, it's one of my words for 2014 and something I still struggle with. And I get the part of being a people pleaser and hold on to some things that aren't necessary. It's making life too difficult for our own good.

Can't wait to see what facelift you will be giving your blog!

    Have a great week, girl!

    1. The blogging universe knows we're meant to be friends!!!

I LOVED reading your monthly goal and I hope things settle down for you soon!

  2. These are great goals! I wish I were going to be in the area for the blogger brunch but I am all the way down in Texas! I'm totally with you on holding on to things.. I am the same way! Here's to letting these things go (something I've been planning to work on as well). I hope you have a great week :)

    1. Aw, if only we could transport every blogger over to us on that day! ;) Good luck to both of us and cheers to letting things go! Thanks for stopping by Sarah! :)

  3. Oh my goodness I am the same way about my coffee time. I need to feel relaxed and like I'm on pause during my coffee time, not rushed! During college I would do homework in my favorite local coffee shop. I feel like I need to get back to doing some reading in that environment!

    1. I'm definitely taking a fun book with me for reading time! I went to a neat coffee shop last night actually! I love the atmosphere of being somewhere so relaxed!

  4. Yay for gluten free deserts! I hope you find stuff you love!

I also totally hear you on the people pleasing goal. I struggle with the same thing and one of my goals for the year is to be more gracious with myself because I will beat myself up over the silliest mistakes. Good luck!

    1. It seems like a lot of us are that way! Good luck to you too Stacia :)

  5. good luck on your goals this month! how are you sending out your care packages? or where are you finding info about it. i'd love to do that too. :)

    1. Thanks Esther! Anysoldier.com has a list of soldiers who would love to get some mail or care packages!

  6. Ugh why did everyone and their mother plan to do things for Feb 22nd? I have a wedding and birthday party to go to that day! I would really like to go to the Blogger Brunch. I would love to meet and connect with fellow SoCal bloggers!

How do you send out care packages to soldiers? Is there a website for it?

    1. Hi Jasam! Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting! We wish you could make it to Blogger Brunch too!! There will definitely be more blogger events soon so make sure you're a part of the Bloggers Giving Back page on Facebook! I believe Melyssa from The Nectar Collective has a link to that on her blog somewhere since she's the brains behind all of this!

anysoldier.com has a list of service men and women who would love to receive letters and care packages!
