Sales, mimosas & heat, Oh MY! A Weekend Recap...

Happy Labor Day, fellow laborer! Just a quick post about my weekend, it's a long weekend so technically it's not quite over yet...but I plan on sleeping as much as possible and will hopefully not be getting out of my pajamas all day!

Saturday morning breakfast. In my smoothie: blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, bananas, Greek yogurt, almond milk and flax seeds. Quick and easy to make and so delicious!

Saturday night I went to Anthropologie at South Coast Plaza to check out their home sale. If you're reading this on actual Labor Day, their sale home items are an additional 25% off! I don't usually shop at South Coast Plaza so I'm not familiar with the layout. As it turns out, I parked on the complete opposite side of the mall and I was forced to walk across this bridge to get to Anthro. Turns out the walk was totally worth it because I was able to enjoy the pretty skies. I ended up purchasing a set of plates and cloth napkins and a beautiful apron all for $30. Yay me! Down side: I had to walk back to my car with a really heavy bag. Hard life, I know.

Other sales I found at the mall that I thought I'd share: Bath & Body Works $4 shower gels (my favorite) and 50% off select items, Gap 40% off of sale items (I purchased a dress for $13 originally priced at $60, down to $21 for the sale plus the holiday discount). I enjoy sales, clearly.

Sunday morning Andy and I had a lovely breakfast complete with bottomless mimosas. It was nice to sit out on the patio of the restaurant since it wasn't too hot out and just enjoy the weather for once this week. It's been ridiculously hot here, and that's saying something since this is Southern California and it's usually warm year round. Seriously, I just want to lock myself in a walk in fridge and not come out.

We headed to the farmers market at the Great Park in Irvine after breakfast. At this point the heat had started already and it felt like we were strolling through a sauna. I quickly picked up some almond butter, berries, yummy kiwi sauce and sunflowers...everything one needs to survive...and we booked it back to the car and headed home (a more bearable sauna I suppose).

Happy Monday, stay cool (literally), and thank you for reading!
